European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Born Clothing, an Irish fashion retailer, announced the closure of 15 stores nationwide, resulting in the loss of 116 jobs. The affected units are its retail outlets located across the country in Carrick on Shannon, Galway, Dublin, Cork, Kildare, Laois, Tipperary, Westmeath, Leitrim, Mayo and Kerry. The company was founded in Galway in 2009 and had employed 116 people. The closures are part of a liquidation process following significant debt. The decision reflects the company’s inability to sustain operations in the current market.
