Description
TrendAI, the enterprise business unit of the Japanese cybersecurity company Trend Micro, operating in the cybersecurity and artificial intelligence sector, opened its office in Portugal in May 2026 as part of its expansion across the Iberian Peninsula.
The company aims to strengthen its presence in Portugal and leverage the rapid growth of the cybersecurity sector, which is expected to see annual investment increases of around 15%. As part of this strategy, TrendAI plans to create more than 5,000 cybersecurity jobs in Portugal by 2029, supporting both local market development and the expansion of its regional team.
The office has already been inaugurated, and recruitment is underway, although no detailed public timeline has been disclosed for the different hiring phases.
