Description
ASF 4.0, a French company belonging to the Chamatex group, will open a new sports shoe factory in Barcelos, Portugal, creating up to 580 jobs by 2030. The project is scheduled to start in July 2026 with two production lines and an initial capacity of 500,000 pairs per year. The first phase will generate 210 jobs. The investment is supported by the local municipality and AICEP, reflecting strong public–private collaboration.
The expansion is focused exclusively on job creation. The full project is expected to be completed by the end of 2030.
