European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Oracle, a multinational cloud-computing firm, has announced a reduction of approximately 150 roles in its Irish operations, as part of an internal restructuring plan. The cuts come amid a broader shift toward artificial intelligence, as Oracle ramps up Artificial Intelligence (AI) spending to strengthen its cloud services against competitors such as Alphabet and Amazon. While the exact sites affected are not specified beyond the country level, the company’s collective redundancy notification signals a company-wide effort to streamline operations in Ireland.
