European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Minelli, a French footwear brand, announced the permanent closure of all its stories resulting in 213 job losses. The decision follows a judicial restructuring that reduced the workforce from 600 to 213 employees. With the stores shutting down, all remaining staff will be laid off. The closures will be completed on 30 May 2026.
A previous restructuring had already reduced its workforce to 213 employees and its store network from 120 to 47 locations, yet the brand still posted a €3.7 million loss in its last financial year, 2024-2025: Minelli 2024 - FR. Currently, Minelli has only 21 stores remaining and potential buyers had until Monday to submit their offers. Of the six bids filed with the Paris Commercial Court, four offers covered only one or two stores for sale.
Founded in 1973 near Marseille, Minelli once generated €100 million in annual revenue. This spring, the French shoe brand was placed into administration for the second time in under three years.
