Description
Salling, a Danish retail chain operating under Salling Group, announced the creation of around 200 permanent jobs in connection with the opening of two new flagship stores located at Kultorvet in central Copenhagen and at Rødovre Centrum. The job creation concerns retail and store operations staff and forms part of a prospective business expansion in the Copenhagen area.
The expansion is driven by Salling Group’s long‑term retail strategy and its 120‑year anniversary, aiming to strengthen the brand’s physical presence in the capital and complement its existing online activities. Recruitment will continue until the new stores are fully staffed.
Salling previously announced a large restructuring affecting its online business infrastructure leading to the layoff of 200 permanent employees in its distribution centre in Ishøj in 2023 Salling 2023 - DK.
