Description
The new owner of sports equipment retailer Hervis, formerly under Austrian ownership, has decided to close its 21 stores in Slovenia, resulting in the loss of 250 jobs.
Quantum Investment Holding, which acquired Hervis from its Austrian owners in January 2026, will solely focus on the Austrian market and has sold its subsidiaries in Germany, Slovenia, and Croatia, although it has not disclosed the name of the new owner. The new owner decided to close stores in all three countries after a detailed review of operations, citing changing shopping habits.
In Slovenia, 21 stores will close by the end of July 2026, and 250 people will lose their jobs.
