Description
Thomas Krenn, a German server manufacturer, has opened its new campus in Freyung on 23 April 2026. The project more than doubled the site’s operational space and is expected to support the creation of up to 300 additional jobs on top of the company’s current workforce of around 450 employees.
Thomas-Krenn highlighted growing demand from the data-centre and artificial intelligence sectors and expects additional growth through its activities in customised server systems and open-source infrastructure technologies. The expansion focuses on modern production and office spaces, showcasing the company’s growth strategy and its integration into the regional economy. The campus aims to position the firm as a high tech hub and supports local workforce development, as proven by high trainee rententian rates.
Thomas Krenn was founded in 2002, employs about 450 people and is owned by VM Capital since 2018. The company is growing fast, recently acquiring the company Extra Computer and announcing intentions to further expand the company campus and open new locations outside the campus.
