Description
Rolls-Royce Power Systems, a German industrial engine manufacturer and subsidiary of the British Rolls Royce, plans to create up to 600 new jobs at its site in Friedrichshafen. The job creation is planned to be implemented by the end of 2028.
Management at the company stated that the site is on a growth path and rejected concerns raised by the works council about possible job cuts. Before this, employees had expressed fears that up to 3,000 jobs might be lost at the site. The company’s success is partly due to diversified production, including energy-related equipment and military-related equipment (tank engines).
Rolls-Royce Power Systems employs around 6,600 people in the region.
