European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Premier Restaurants România, a Romanian operator of McDonald’s outlets, announced an expansion plan that will add over 500 new jobs across several Romanian cities, including București, Ploiești, Iași, Timișoara, Bacău, Baia Mare, Mediaș, and Florești.
The growth targets new restaurants in 2025 and a further nine in 2026, driven by a strategy that emphasizes digital solutions and sustainable practices such as renewable energy use. The company’s 7,000-person workforce will support the new openings, while the expansion is set to continue into 2026 and beyond.
