European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Lhyfe, a French hydrogen producer, announced a 30 % cost-reduction plan that will cut at least 50 jobs in France, and more across its European operations, including Germany and the United Kingdom. The first announcements declared that around 100 employees, half of the 196 workforce in France would be cut. However, the management of the company responded stating a plan was due, but nothing was set at this date.
The restructuring is driven by the lack of a clear EU regulatory framework, hurting Lhyfe's role as a key player in the green transition.
According to the startup, Lhyfe employs will employ around 170 and 180 people in Europe, including 130 to 140 in France.
