Description
Ultinon Motion Poland, a Poland-based vehicle lighting manufacturer in Pabianice, filed for bankruptcy, putting around 700 jobs at risk at one of the largest employers in the local area.
Bankruptcy proceedings formally started on 20 March 2026, after the company’s corrected filing was entered into the court register. The crisis has been linked to problems affecting the wider group structure as well as to market changes, including the shift from halogen lighting to LED products. Local authorities and the labour office are monitoring the situation, while the municipality has stated that a sale of the operating plant to another investor would offer the best prospect for preserving employment.
