Description
Decathlon, a sporting goods retail company, announced the creation of around 1,000 new jobs in Germany. The new jobs are expected to be created by the end of 2027.
Decathlon plans to operate a total of 150 stores in Germany by the end of 2027. In 2025, 18 new stores have already been opened, including in cities such as Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Berlin. The modernization of existing locations was also driven forward in order to offer customers a modern shopping experience. A further 25 openings are planned for the current year, including in Oberhausen, Saarbrücken, Leverkusen and Trier. With this expansion, the company aims to increase its competitiveness and attract more customers.
Decathlon is a French company and employs around 5,500 people in Germany.
