European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Norwegian company Benzoak Vet, owned by ACD Pharma, has shifted the production of its sedative and anesthetic from Belgium to Norway in 2020. The previous manufacturer was VWR in Belgium, and the new producer is Pharma Production in Oslo. This strategic move is in line with the increased focus on domestic pharmaceutical production in Norway, following the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was motivated by the company desire for proximity and simplified production management. The transition also involves modernizing the product's composition to comply with updated regulations, with no impact on its clinical properties.
