Solvay is a Belgian chemical group that operates in 63 countries with a total workforce of over 21,000 employees. In 2022, it announced the relocation of the production of its innovative green solvent from China to its site in Melle, Deux-Sèvres, France. The project received support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which granted a subsidy of 640,000 euros for the relocation. Solvay aims to increase the site's capacity by 20%.
