European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Phybris, is a Franch spa distribution company operating since 2016. The company that initially outsourced its production to China, in June 2020 established a production line near Châlons-en-Champagne, France. To finalize the operation, the company had to invest in buildings, machinery, and training for a skilled workforce, transitioning from a sales-focused operation to a manufacturing one. The relocation aimed to capitalize on the appeal of "Made in France," leveraging environmental consciousness, distinct design, good insulation, and advanced hydraulic technologies. Contributed to the decision the rising transportation costs from China.
