Description

The Dutch Ministry of Defence is recruiting cyber reservists to expand its cyber defence capacity in the Netherlands. The ministry aims to increase its cyber personnel by a target of 150 positions, an expansion of its Defence Cyber Commando (DCC) units, with the recruitment campaign slated to commence after summer 2025 and expected to conclude later that year.

The expansion is driven by growing cyber threats from foreign states, particularly China and Russia, and the need to boost cyber resilience and operational readiness. The hiring is a proactive response to the growing digital threat landscape. The roles vary widely, ranging from developing security software to testing Defence systems by attempting to hack them.
