Description

Dumarey Powerglide Bouthéon (priorly Punch), a Belgian automotive component manufacturer, announced the closure of its Andrézieux-Bouthéon site in France, specialised in gearboxes, rendering 266 employees redundant. The closure will take place before the end of the year. The decision follows a sharp decline in orders from their German partner, and the failure of planned electrification and hydrogen projects, which have weakened the company's business plan.

The company has started negotiations on the job saving plan with employee representatives.

Several large-scale restructuring have been recorded in the ERM database, with the latest in Dumarey Powerglide Strasbourg 2026 - FR, and under it's prior name Punch Punch Powertrain 2021 - BE.
