Description
Nextlane, a French digital solutions provider for automotive distributors, announced the elimination of 50 to 60 positions in France as part of a delocatisation to Porto, Portugal. Employees will leave on a voluntary departure basis, with no direct dismissals. The cut, representing almost 20% of the workforce, targets functional consultants and support centre staff. The decision follows a broader European organisational shift, with the company planning to migrate the affected roles to a new centre of excellence in Portugal.
According to a union employee, similar job cuts are taking place in Spain. Employees are also worried this restructuring will affect the relationship Nextlane has with its clients, which is already under strain.
The CFE-CGC trade union is involved in negotiations, which are scheduled to be finalised in April.
