Description
Afibel, a French clothes retail company specialising in sales for seniors and large-size customers, has announced the elimination of 100 positions as part of a job-saving plan in Villeneuve d'Ascq (Nord). The 100 job losses represent a 50 % reduction of the workforce, affecting mainly internal teams that support sales and logistics.
The restructuring follows a difficult financial situation, with a deficit and liquidity challenges that led to judicial restructuring. The company also intends to outsource its customer-relations service to a firm in Mauritius.
Afibel's total workforce is of 200 employees.
