Indra Group, a Spanish information technology and defence company, has announced a growth and talent attraction plan that will create more than 170 new jobs in Galicia in 2026, reinforcing the region as a strategic hub for advanced technological capabilities. The initiative spans all major business areas, including Defence and Security, Air Traffic Management, Mobility, Space, IndraMind, Minsait, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, and will incorporate profiles ranging from vocational training graduates to engineers.
Defence represents the area with the greatest growth potential. Ongoing initiatives include the expansion of Indra’s electronic warfare engineering centre in Vigo, the development of the SPARC chip factory at the Valladares Technology and Logistics Park, and increased activity at the unmanned aerial systems flight test centre in Rozas (Lugo).
This expansion will strengthen Indra’s role as a major driver of industrial and technological employment in Galicia. The company plans to deepen collaboration with universities, vocational training centres and public institutions to ensure the attraction and development of local talent in critical technological fields.
The company experienced two previous restructuring episodes in 2025, one related to an expansion of 2,400 jobs Indra Group 2025-ES as well as an employment restructuring affecting 210 jobs Indra Group 2025-ES, respectively.
