Description
Glass LT Fire, a Lithuanian-owned company, has begun construction of a new factory in Jonava. Construction is expected to be completed and the factory to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. Up to 100 new jobs will be created.
According to company representatives, this investment is an important step in implementing the company’s long-term strategy – to strengthen the vertical integration of the Glass LT group’s production and reduce dependence on external suppliers. According to representatives of the Jonava region municipality, the new plant will contribute to strengthening the district’s economy.
The facility will be used for tempering and processing glass, as well as manufacturing insulated glass units. The project was co-funded by the EU and AI will be used in the controls of the furnace.
