Description
Actona Group, a European furniture retail and manufacturing company, is closing its production facility in Alytus, which employs approximately 170 people. Operations at the facility will cease in July 2026.
This decision was made to restructure and transform the business and strengthen the group’s competitiveness in the market. Actona Group promises to retain more than 500 employees at its Kaunas facility and to continue operations at its manufacturing facilities in Poland and Ukraine.
According to company representatives, some employees from the Alytus branch will be offered jobs in Kaunas, while efforts will be made to ensure a smooth and dignified exit process for others. The group plans to cooperate with the Lithuanian PES and local authorities to ensure that employees receive additional assistance and support during this period as they seek new employment opportunities.
