Description

Karl Storz, the medical technology company based in Tuttlingen, plans to cut 250 jobs.

To support this, a severance program will be introduced, beginning on 2 March 2026. All 3,800 employees in Germany are eligible to apply. The severance payments will be calculated based on the employee’s gross monthly salary multiplied by their length of service, capped at 200,000 euros. The offer is based on mutual agreement.

The goal of the job reductions is to sustainably and socially responsibly lower personnel costs. Due to the global economic situation, high future‑oriented investment costs, and ongoing geopolitical challenges, the company’s business is under pressure.

Karl Storz specializes in endoscopes and integrated operating room solutions and employs around 9,800 people worldwide.
