Description
eBay, a US-based e-commerce company, has announced that it plans to cut approximately 800 jobs worldwide, representing 6% of ita workforce.
About 50 positions are expected to be eliminated at its European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. The restructuring programme will affect various roles across the company and is already underway. eBay employs around 1,000 people in Ireland.
The job cuts are driven by a strategic realignment to focus on future priorities such as artificial intelligence and the acquisition of the resale app Depop.
