Description
Lisi Automotive, a French plastic‑parts manufacturer for the automotive sector, announced 130 job cuts at its plant in Puiseux‑Pontoise, Val‑d’Oise. The restructuring was announced on 21 January 2026, with the layoffs yet to take effect and negotiations already underway.
The plant is being shut because it is not sufficiently profitable, and the company has been urged to diversify beyond automotive production. The closures will likely lead to relocation of production to sites in Hungary, Germany and Morocco. 44 jobs will be open for internal mobility.
Strikes are taking place backed by several unions—CGT, CFDT and FO—while a solidarity fund has been opened by USTM CGT 95. Negotiations between management and the unions began on 30 January 2026, with the strike suspended temporarily during talks but the possibility of restarting remains.
