Description
The Zaragoza-based restaurant group “La Mafia se sienta a la mesa” plans to open around 30 new units in 2026, supported by an investment of €15 million, potentially creating 500 new jobs. Its expansion will focus particularly on shopping centres, where it currently has limited presence, as well as major cities such as Madrid and Barcelona. The companu will target provincial capitals, including airports, medium-sized malls and hotels.
The group closed 2025 with €132 million in revenue, up 12.3% year-on-year, after opening around twenty new restaurants in Spain, Portugal and Andorra. The company has experienced strong post-pandemic growth, expanding from 44 locations in 2021 to 114 in 2025, with 70 net openings over five years.
With more than 2,200 employees across owned and franchised restaurants, the group aims to reach 200 locations and €200 million in revenue by 2029, maintaining growth through internal financing rather than private equity investment.
