Description
B.PRO, a German food logistics for commercial kitchen operators announced to close down its industrial unit ENOXX, which manufactures stainless steel parts for industry, resulting in about 180 job cuts at its site in Oberderdingen. The layoffs will take place in stages until 2027.
The restructuring is driven by the ENOXX division’s long-term unprofitability, an ageing and increasingly fragile machinery park, potential liability claims, and the need for large investments that cannot be financed from the current business cycle. Plans to sell the industrial unit to interested investors have failed. The company entered negotiations with its works council and German Metalworkers' Union (IG Metall). Talks are still ongoing and the company announced that it will present a detailed timeline for job cuts in the second quarter of 2026.
B.PRO employs roughly 500 people, of which about 180 work in the ENOXX unit that is being closed.
