Description
H&M, a Swedish clothing retailer, announced the closure of its customer-service centre in Maastricht, Netherlands, resulting in 250 job cuts. The centre will shut its doors on 1 June 2026, with the remaining service responsibilities being taken over by an external provider. The restructuring is part of a global shift in the company’s customer-service model, which also affects sites in Sweden, Denmark and the United States.
The company stated that the changes are necessary to keep pace with evolving customer expectations and to align the business model with contemporary service-delivery requirements.
