European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
ONEX and Sung Shin Rolling Stock Technology Ltd., a partnership between a Greek firm and a Korean company, announced an investment of at least €25 million to establish the National Centre for Railway Equipment Support at Navpigeia Elei sinas, Greece, creating 100 new jobs in railway maintenance and repair. The investment is expected to start shortly.??The collaboration aims to bring specialised expertise into train repair, modernise Greece’s railway infrastructure, and strengthen the national rail sector through advanced technology, contributing to the country’s strategic development.??All 100 positions will be located at Navpigeia Elei sinas.??This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize Greece’s rail industry, following recent agreements such as the one with Ferrovie dello Stato that introduced new trains. The project is expected to enhance fleet capabilities and improve passenger and freight services.
