The German pastry manufacturer Griesson - de Beukelaer has announced plans to expand its site in Wurzen, Saxony, until 2027 creating 100 additional jobs.
The company increased its revenue by 8 percent in 2025 and is investing more than 100 million euros to expand its Wurzen site. The project will add new production capacity by 2027. This expansion will strengthen the local industry and open up new opportunities for skilled workers and trainees in the region.
The family-owned company operates production sites in Polch (Rhineland‑Palatinate), Kahla (Thuringia) and Wurzen (Saxony) and employs a total of 2,000 people. 2025, the company generated around 55 percent of its revenue abroad, primarily in Europe and North America.
