Description
Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, a subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen, has announced that it will create about 100 new jobs at Rygge air base (Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services, KAMS).
The company plans to recruit around 50 technicians and 50 support staff. The company aims to prioritise local recruitment.
The business expansion is driven by rising activity linked to long-term contracts, including responsibility for maintenance and servicing of Norway’s new F-35 fighter jets.
The site in Rygge, completed in 2019, includes workshops and aircraft engine test cells. Currently, about 30 employees work at the site.
Founded in 1814, Kongsberg Gruppen operates globally in defence, aerospace, maritime and digital technologies, and is one of Norway’s largest industrial employers.
