Description

The Nordic company Transtema, providing services within communications infrastructure, has announced a plan to reduce approximately 160 positions in Sweden. The number represents roughly 15% of the company's total workforce.

The reduction in personnel is part of a cost-reduction initiative approved by the company's Board of Directors, which occurred in view of a weak result in the fourth quarter of 2025. The cost‑reduction initiative is aimed at lowering the company’s overall cost base and streamlining its operations.

The Norwegian operations of Transtema Group also implemented staff cuts in the fourth quarter of 2025, affecting approximately 70 employees. An additional reduction of about 90 positions is planned for 2026 in Norway.

The restructuring measures have either already begun or will be launched immediately, and their impact will be phased in throughout 2026, with most of the effect expected in the second half of the year.

Transtema Group has about 1,300 employees in the Nordics, divided among its 12 subsidiaries, of which seven are in Sweden and five in Norway.
