Description
Continental Tire Group, a German manufacturer of automotive tires, announced the creation of 150 new jobs at regional service center in Timisoara (Timis County) for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) by the end of 2026. The regional center will cover IT, human resources, procurement, and other activities of the company.
Continental Tires Romania had a turnover of €900 million last year and has over 3,000 employees. The Continental Tires Group has 19 factories worldwide, including four in the US, one in Mexico, five in Asia, two in South America, one in South Africa, and six in Europe, three of which are in Eastern Europe: Romania, Slovakia, and the Czechia.
Within the group, the plant from Romania is the fourth-largest in terms of volume.
Recently, Continental announced that 1,450 jobs will be lost in Germany, out of a total of 3,000 jobs worldwide Continental 2026 - Germany.
