Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ROLTEC, a Polish-owned company operating in the photovoltaic manufacturing sector, is building a new CIGS thin-film photovoltaic module factory in Wrocław, creating nearly 200 new jobs. The investment represents a business expansion and involves scaling up to full-scale industrial production of silicon-free CIGS modules, previously developed and tested at the company’s laboratory and pilot production line in Żylice near Rawicz, with applications in solar farms and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV).
The recruitment process is already underway, although no specific timetable for the completion of hiring has been disclosed.
ROLTEC has been developing advanced photovoltaic technologies for several years and, in late 2025, also secured additional land in Krępice, within a Polish special economic zone, intended for further photovoltaic-related investments, indicating continued growth plans in the renewable energy sector.
