Description
Grand Frais, a French supermarket chain, launched a recruitment plan involving 3,500 new hires in 2026, including 1,400 permanent positions. The recruitment is linked to the opening of 25 new stores across France. The new jobs will mainly concern food-related occupations (butchery, cheese and fish specialists), as well as sales and logistics roles.
Moreover, Grand Frais acquired part of Gifi, a French retail chain. The Grand Frais group currently operates around 330 stores in France and opens an average of 15 new stores per year. In December 2025, the French supermarket chain was bought for 4 billions euros by Apollo, an American investment fund, who is investing on this expansion.
