Description
The German branch of the French company DPD has opened a new site in Kaiserslautern, Rhineland-Palatinate. Around 130 people are expected to work at the new parcel sorting centre in the future.
With this new location, the company aims to strengthen its regional presence while also creating the technological foundation for sustainable logistics in the years ahead. At the heart of the facility is an especially quiet cross‑belt sorting system that can process up to 5,500 parcels per hour.
DPD Deutschland employs around 8,000 people and is part of the Geopost Group.
