Description
Innovasjon Norge, the Norwegian state-owned organisation supporting business development and innovation, has announced plans to cut between 100 and 110 jobs worldwide.
The restructuring will lead to the closure of the office in Førde (Norway) and Sweden. All employees with Norwegian contracts have been offered severance packages, and a collective consultation process is ongoing. The company is to consider further consolidation of regional offices in Norway. The downsizing is linked to budget cuts of around NOK 100 million and is expected to involve fewer office locations.
Innovasjon Norge is jointly owned by the Norwegian state (51%) and the county authorities (49%) and plays a key role in supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and regional economic development across Norway. The company has 752 employees worldwide.
