European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
German paper manufacturer Neu Kaliß Spezialpapier will close its site in Neu Kaliß. Around 115 workers are affected by the closure to take place at the end of March 2026.
Parent company Melitta states that a poor business situation made this step necessary. The site in Neu Kaliß prodcues special tapestry and wallpapers for which demand continued to be low.
The company is quoted to look for socially acceptable solutions when cutting the jobs. However, details were not yet released by the company.
