Description
Hensoldt, a German defence-systems company, announced the creation of approximately 200 new jobs at its Ulm site in Germany. The new positions are part of a new laboratory building that will house 100 radar and reconnaissance experts and will be staffed by a total of 200 new employees, with the hiring planned for the current year. The expansion reflects the company’s focus on growing its sensor-solution capabilities.
The company is expanding its capacities to meet rising demand from both national and international customers. Hensoldt says the investment in the new laboratory building and the associated development laboratories is essential to accelerating technology development, shortening delivery times, and supporting its growth strategy in radar and electronic warfare systems.
The restructuring is a single-phase expansion, with all 200 new roles to be filled within the current calendar year.
The Ulm site currently employs about 3,000 people, including engineers, technicians, and around 240 trainees and dual students. In the past two years, the site has hired more than 500 employees, bringing the total workforce at Ulm to roughly 3,000.
