Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dassault Aviation, a French aircraft manufacturer, announced it plans to recruit 1 000 people in 2023, with 500 positions to be filled at its Gironde sites in Mérignac and Martignas‑sur‑Jalle and the remaining 500 distributed across the Paris region (300), PACA (100), Auvergne Rhône‑Alps (80) and the North (40). The hiring is scheduled to begin in 2023, with 90 % of the new hires on permanent contracts, mainly engineers, machinists and fitters.
The company’s expansion is driven by the strong recovery of the aeronautics sector and fierce competition, coupled with a healthy order book that represents ten years of work.
The roles include engineers, machinists and fitters, all on permanent contracts.
Dassault Aviation employs about 8 800 people, generated €6.9 billion in revenue in 2022, and maintains a robust order book that secures its future growth.
