Description

Ryterna modul, a Kaunas-based manufacturer of modular buildings, containers, and mobile structures, is laying off 130 employees - almost 60% of its total workforce of 222 employees. The lay-offs affect: assemblers (68), welders (14), warehouse workers (8), electricians (7), painters (4), fitters (4), and production foremen (4).

According to the company manager, the layoffs are due to changes in the business model and market conditions. He said that until now, the company produced a wide range of products, focusing on both individual and business orders. However, it has now been decided to focus solely on business customer orders and to standardise the products manufactured.

The company informed the Public Employment Service about the layoffs on January 15, 2026. It is planned that from January 19 to the end of April.
