Description
Coloplast is a Danish multinational specialising in medical devices. The company is investing in Portugal and is building a new industrial facility in Felgueiras. Construction began in July 2024, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2026. The project will create up to 800 new jobs, and the recruitment process is already underway.
The expansion aims to increase production capacity for intermittent catheters to meet growing global demand, particularly in Europe. The skilled workforce, strategic location in Europe, and favourable energy sustainability conditions were the main reasons cited by the company for choosing Portugal.
Coloplast currently has 74 employees in Portugal. The company operates in more than 100 countries and employs around 16,500 people worldwide.
