Description
PGZ Stocznia Wojenna, operating in the shipbuilding and defence industry, is expanding employment by around 300 jobs, with staffing rising from about 900 to a target of 1,200 employees at its shipyard in Gdynia, northern Poland. The expansion is driven by major defence contracts for the Polish Navy, notably the PLN 15 billion “Miecznik” programme, and will continue over the coming years as new-build and modernisation projects progress.
Hiring is ongoing and covers a broad set of profiles, with the company aiming to shift the workforce mix toward direct production roles. The shipyard is also investing in skills pipelines through cooperation with the Naval Academy, including a dedicated study track to train future specialists.
PGZ Stocznia Wojenna is Poland’s only shipyard dedicated to building and servicing naval vessels and forms part of the state-owned Polish Armaments Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, PGZ), with a key role in national defence programmes.
