Description
As announced on 15 December 2025, packaging manufacturer Treofan has informed 139 employees that their positions will be cut. A further 20 limited contract workers will not receive extensions of their contract and will have to leave the site in Neunkirchen (Saarland). In total
Treofan filed for insolvency in August 2025. In December 2025, an investor was found, and it was announced that production will continue and 291 workers can remain.
The dismissed employees can decide whether to move to a transfer company. Employees in production, administration, and management are affected.
