Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Budimex, one of Poland’s largest construction and infrastructure companies, announced a major business expansion through a large-scale recruitment programme, planning to hire around 1,000 employees by the end of 2026. The recruitment drive is linked to intensive investment activity in railway, energy, and infrastructure projects, including major national transport developments, and will cover engineering, execution, and specialist roles.
Budimex employs around 7,600 people, operates across Central and Eastern Europe, and has invested over PLN 6 billion in wages since 2021, remaining one of Poland’s key infrastructure contractors.
Budimex previously expanded its operation, most recently in 2024 and 2020, see: Budimex 2024 - PLBudimex 2020 - PL.
