Description
The Bombay Group, which recently opened a luxury hotel and casino in Tallinn's Old Town, announced the layoff of at least 145 people due to internal restructuring. The redundancies will affect staff across the group’s hotels, restaurants, the casino, and office functions.
According to the company representative, the hotel, restaurant and entertainment complex, which cost around €100 million, has grown to nearly 500 employees over the past two years. According to Maarja Pärt, a member of the Yolo Group's supervisory board, during the rapid development phase, many processes were duplicated to ensure a successful start for the business. Now that the business has completely established itself, it was time for restructuring to increase efficiency and turn to profits.
Yolo Group, the group that Bombay belongs to, laid off 280 people only a few months ago also due to internal restructuring and a change in their business model.
