The Hungarian subsidiary of Canadian auto industry supplier Magna International has started producing at its new manufacturing facility in Vecsés, Central Hungary. The site commenced operations with 240 employees, with plans to expand the workforce to 300.
The establishment of the new plant is part of the strategic expansion of the company’s European production network. It will produce structural body solutions and chassis systems for leading German OEMs.
The project forms part of Magna’s global strategy to expand capacity for sustainable and high-technology mobility solutions, supported by a €50 million investment and €10 million in state aid from the Hungarian government. Production started in November 2025 and applies advanced automated technologies and high-standard quality assurance systems. All newly created roles are full-time positions linked to manufacturing, engineering and operational activities.
Magna International, with more than 174,000 employees across 30 countries, has been present in Hungary since 2011 and continues to strengthen its role as a major automotive supplier in Central Europe
