Description
Black Red White (BRW S.A.), one of Poland’s largest furniture manufacturers in the wood and furniture industry, has announced another round of mass layoffs affecting up to 800 employees across all its plants, including Biłgoraj and Zamość, between November 2025 and December 2026.
The restructuring aims to modernise facilities, streamline operations, and close selected organisational units amid ongoing financial difficulties and declining sales.
Planned measures include redundancies across production and administrative roles, with trade unions negotiating for higher severance pay and alternative solutions to limit job losses.
“Solidarność” union has not yet approved the company’s redundancy plan and continues talks with management.
Founded in 1991, Black Red White remains Poland’s largest furniture producer and regional employer with around 2700 workers, though it reported a PLN 137 million net loss in 2024 and is undergoing ownership changes following acquisition moves by XXXLutz and Dariusz Formela.
