Description
Lidl, the large German supermarket chain, is investing around HUF 50 billion in the construction of a new logistics centre near Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary. The investment will create 400 new jobs, mainly in administrative, logistical and technical roles. The company has already begun recruiting – for now, it is hiring administrators, inventory management specialists and forklift operators.
The centre is set to be completed by October 2026. Construction began in autumn 2024, and at 83,000 square metres it will be the company’s largest Hungarian logistics centre to date, and one of the most technologically advanced in Europe.
The investment will cost approximately €130 million.
